Auction result well in line with expectations
In February this year Bonhams held the auction Vintage Posters Online, which included the work Monte-Carlo by Jean-Gabriel Domergue. The price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,163.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Gabriel Domergue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les danseuses de French Cancan in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 164,500.00 (€ 129,588.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Vintage Posters Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Monte-Carlo von Jean-Gabriel Domergue zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.163,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Gabriel Domergue erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les danseuses de French Cancan im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 164.500,00 (€ 129.588,78).
