It achieved a price of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,545.65), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jean Francois Marie Huet-Villiers; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait de Marie Laetizia Bonaparte, Dite 'Madame Mère' (1750-1836) sold at auction in June 2005 with the realized price of EUR 5,760.00.
