This artwork by Jean Dufy achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2021. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Paris, La Seine sold for USD 118,750.00 (€ 105,209.53) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jean Dufy; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Salle Gaveau, le grand orchestre sold at auction in November 2017 with the realized price of USD 250,000.00 (€ 210,119.35).
