Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Inspecteurs Sinoque et Dingue by Jean Dubuffet was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November this year. The price achieved of USD 4,900,000.00 (€ 4,492,115.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000,000.00 – 6,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean Dubuffet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paris Polka in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 24,805,000.00 (€ 22,562,306.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Inspecteurs Sinoque et Dingue von Jean Dubuffet kam im November diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.900.000,00 (€ 4.492.115,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000.000,00 – 6.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Dubuffet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paris Polka im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 24.805.000,00 (€ 22.562.306,71).
