This artwork by Jean Cortot achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in February 2021. In the Jean Cortot auction, the work Nous Sommes Par Nature… Paul Valéry sold for EUR 3,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Cortot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Éloge de Pierre-Jean Jouve in June 2016 with an auction result of EUR 71,100.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Cortot erzielte im Februar 2021 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Jean Cortot wurde die Arbeit Nous Sommes Par Nature… Paul Valéry für EUR 3.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Cortot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Éloge de Pierre-Jean Jouve im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 71.100,00.
