In February 2021 Christies in Paris held the auction Jean Cortot, which included the work Il Y A Quelque Chose De Plus Précieux… Paul Valéry by Jean Cortot. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,500.00 39% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Cortot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Éloge de Pierre-Jean Jouve in June 2016 with an auction result of EUR 71,100.00.

Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen

Im Februar 2021 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Jean Cortot durch, in der auch die Arbeit Il Y A Quelque Chose De Plus Précieux… Paul Valéry von Jean Cortot zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.500,00 und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Cortot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Éloge de Pierre-Jean Jouve im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 71.100,00.
