Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Éloge De Paul Morand Ii by Jean Cortot was sold in the Jean Cortot auction at Christies in Paris in February 2021. It changed hands for a price of EUR 9,375.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean Cortot have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Éloge de Pierre-Jean Jouve in June 2016 with an auction result of EUR 71,100.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Éloge De Paul Morand Ii von Jean Cortot wurde im Februar 2021 in der Auktion Jean Cortot bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 9.375,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Cortot auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Éloge de Pierre-Jean Jouve im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 71.100,00.
