Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, late 1960s by Jean Clemmer was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,398.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Clemmer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paco Rabanne fashion, 1969, which sold at auction in November 2011 for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,502.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled, late 1960s von Jean Clemmer kam im Oktober 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.398,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Clemmer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paco Rabanne fashion, 1969 beobachtet, die im November 2011 für GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.502,19) versteigert wurde.
