Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jean-Charles Pellerin could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the THE HOUSE SALE auction, the work Sire, Ce Linceul Vaut Bien La Croix!! changed hands for USD 59.75 (€ 44.14) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 300.00 – 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Charles Pellerin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Apothéose de Napoléon, which sold at auction in December 2004 for USD 167.30 (€ 123.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean-Charles Pellerin konnte im Dezember 2004 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion THE HOUSE SALE wechselte die Arbeit Sire, Ce Linceul Vaut Bien La Croix!! für USD 59,75 (€ 44,14) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 300,00 – 500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean-Charles Pellerin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Apothéose de Napoléon beobachtet, die im Dezember 2004 für USD 167,30 (€ 123,58) versteigert wurde.
