Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Autumnal Landscape With A House In The Distance by Jean Charles Cazin was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 687.50 (€ 518.44). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Charles Cazin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Tending The Garden in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,083.66).

Als die Arbeit Autumnal Landscape With A House In The Distance von Jean Charles Cazin im März 2009 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 687,50 (€ 518,44) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Charles Cazin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French Tending The Garden im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.083,66).
