This artwork by Jean Carzou achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in December 2012. In the Collection Henri-Georges et Inès Clouzot - Vente au profit du Secours Catholique auction, the work Port sold for EUR 562.50 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Carzou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Homme Costumé; Femme Costumée in May 2006 with an auction result of EUR 20,400.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Carzou erzielte im Dezember 2012 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Collection Henri-Georges et Inès Clouzot - Vente au profit du Secours Catholique wurde die Arbeit Port für EUR 562,50 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Carzou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Homme Costumé; Femme Costumée im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.400,00.
