Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jean Carzou could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Eclectic auction, the work La Chambre Bleue changed hands for HKD 69,300.00 (€ 7,511.78) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Carzou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Homme Costumé; Femme Costumée, which sold at auction in May 2006 for EUR 20,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Carzou konnte im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Eclectic wechselte die Arbeit La Chambre Bleue für HKD 69.300,00 (€ 7.511,78) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Carzou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Homme Costumé; Femme Costumée beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für EUR 20.400,00 versteigert wurde.
