Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2004 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work A camel train crossing a stream by Jean Baptiste Paul Lazerges. The price achieved of GBP 4,780.00 (€ 6,765.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Baptiste Paul Lazerges - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Camel Train By Moonlight, which sold at auction in June 2020 for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,156.51).
