Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Artcurial held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Art, which included the work Passage du troupeau devant la basilique Sainte-Croix-de-Jérusalem, Rome by Jean-Baptiste Lallemand. The price achieved of EUR 2,624.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Baptiste Lallemand achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fishermen and courtesans in a Mediterranean port at sunset; and Fishermen and Turkish merchants in a Mediterrenean port atsunrise in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 102,000.00 (€ 82,597.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Passage du troupeau devant la basilique Sainte-Croix-de-Jérusalem, Rome von Jean-Baptiste Lallemand zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.624,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Lallemand erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fishermen and courtesans in a Mediterranean port at sunset; and Fishermen and Turkish merchants in a Mediterrenean port atsunrise im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 102.000,00 (€ 82.597,78).
