It achieved a price of EUR 22,100.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Baptiste Lallemand - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishermen and courtesans in a Mediterranean port at sunset; and Fishermen and Turkish merchants in a Mediterrenean port atsunrise, which sold at auction in May 2005 for USD 102,000.00 (€ 82,597.78).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 22.100,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Lallemand mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fishermen and courtesans in a Mediterranean port at sunset; and Fishermen and Turkish merchants in a Mediterrenean port atsunrise beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für USD 102.000,00 (€ 82.597,78) versteigert wurde.
