Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work A young woman with a dog in a landscape; and a companion painting of a young hunter with a dog in a landscape by Jean-Baptiste Charpentier for USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,274.95). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Baptiste Charpentier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Marie Thérèse Louise of Savoy, Princesse de Lamballe (1749-1792), seated full-length, in a lilac dress in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 150,000.00 (€ 175,906.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A young woman with a dog in a landscape; and a companion painting of a young hunter with a dog in a landscape von Jean-Baptiste Charpentier für USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.274,95) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Charpentier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Marie Thérèse Louise of Savoy, Princesse de Lamballe (1749-1792), seated full-length, in a lilac dress im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 150.000,00 (€ 175.906,10).
