Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2005 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work Au bord de la rivière by Jean Baptiste Antoine Guillemet. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,193.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Baptiste Antoine Guillemet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pont Marie, Paris, which sold at auction in April 2004 for GBP 27,485.00 (€ 24,693.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Au bord de la rivière von Jean Baptiste Antoine Guillemet zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.200,00 (€ 6.193,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Baptiste Antoine Guillemet mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pont Marie, Paris beobachtet, die im April 2004 für GBP 27.485,00 (€ 24.693,36) versteigert wurde.
