Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2008 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Jayashree Chakravarty for USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,305.31). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary Indian Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Jayashree Chakravarty have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2009 by the work without title at USD 50,000.00 (€ 37,704.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2008 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jayashree Chakravarty für USD 30.000,00 (€ 21.305,31) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Indian Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Jayashree Chakravarty wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im März 2009 die Arbeit ohne Titel mit USD 50.000,00 (€ 37.704,55).
