In December 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective, which included the work Azerbaijan iovdan by Javad Mirjavadov. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,625.00 (€ 14,428.24), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Javad Mirjavadov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Voyage To Mecca, From The Eastern Miniature Improvisations Series in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 92,500.00 (€ 111,311.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective durch, in der auch die Arbeit Azerbaijan iovdan von Javad Mirjavadov zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 14.428,24) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Javad Mirjavadov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Voyage To Mecca, From The Eastern Miniature Improvisations Series im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 92.500,00 (€ 111.311,37).
