The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,250.00 (€ 15,276.96), 41% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Javad Mirjavadov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Voyage To Mecca, From The Eastern Miniature Improvisations Series in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 92,500.00 (€ 111,311.37).

Die Arbeit Azerbaijan iboy With A Camel von Javad Mirjavadov wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 15.276,96) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Javad Mirjavadov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Voyage To Mecca, From The Eastern Miniature Improvisations Series im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 92.500,00 (€ 111.311,37).
