This work without title by Jatin Das was sold in the The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg auction at Sothebys in London in May last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 378.00 (€ 444.68), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jatin Das achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Breathing Blue (Nude) in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 13,200.00 (€ 10,874.04).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jatin Das wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 378,00 (€ 444,68) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jatin Das erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Breathing Blue (Nude) im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.200,00 (€ 10.874,04).
