This artwork by János Thorma achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in March 2010. In the Modern Art auction, the work Femme De Profil sold for EUR 3,188.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by János Thorma; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The dancer sold at auction in April 2006 with the realized price of GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,503.04).

In der Auktion Modern Art wurde die Arbeit Femme De Profil für EUR 3.188,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von János Thorma; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The dancer im April 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 3.120,00 (€ 4.503,04).
