Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Storm Over Central Park by Janice Biala for USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,177.23). This price was achieved in the auction Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Janice Biala have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Deux tulipes in July this year with an auction result of USD 16,510.00 (€ 14,981.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Storm Over Central Park von Janice Biala für USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.177,23) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Janice Biala auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Deux tulipes im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.510,00 (€ 14.981,85).
