Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jang Koal achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in April 2021. In the Modern and Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Woke Up As A Cat sold for HKD 100,000.00 (€ 10,706.57) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 38,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jang Koal; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Girl #1 sold at auction in March last year with the realized price of HKD 176,400.00 (€ 20,306.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jang Koal erzielte im April 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Woke Up As A Cat für HKD 100.000,00 (€ 10.706,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 38.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jang Koal; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit A Girl #1 im März letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 176.400,00 (€ 20.306,75).
