Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Silver by Janetta Susan Gillespie was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2008. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,042.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Janetta Susan Gillespie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Silver Tray, which sold at auction in August 2008 for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,175.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Silver von Janetta Susan Gillespie kam im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.042,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Janetta Susan Gillespie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Silver Tray beobachtet, die im August 2008 für GBP 10.625,00 (€ 13.175,32) versteigert wurde.
