Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jane Lee achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work Out Of The Box sold for HKD 687,500.00 (€ 70,780.13) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jane Lee; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Fetish Beige sold at auction in April 2016 with the realized price of HKD 1,187,500.00 (€ 133,789.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jane Lee erzielte im Oktober 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings wurde die Arbeit Out Of The Box für HKD 687.500,00 (€ 70.780,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jane Lee; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Fetish Beige im April 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.187.500,00 (€ 133.789,66).
