Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jane Hammond could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Untitled (225, 215, 134, 210, 41, 259, 47, 81, 252, 260, 158, 200, 266, 254, 159, 12, 206, 34, 168, 155, 95, 62, 258) changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,928.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jane Hammond have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Malcolm Wright Vase With Dogwood, Ocotillo And Orioles in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,699.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
