Despite a disappointment, a good price for Janardan Bhatt
This work of art by Janardan Bhatt could be acquired at Bonhams in London in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work OP 73 changed hands for GBP 637.50 (€ 749.96) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, OP 73 is the most expensive artwork by Janardan Bhatt that we have observed at auction so far.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Janardan Bhatt konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit OP 73 für GBP 637,50 (€ 749,96) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist OP 73 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Janardan Bhatt, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
