Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dutch St. Vincent De Paul by Jan Wiegers was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in June 2008. The price achieved of EUR 22,350.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Wiegers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch Music Hall in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 216,750.00.

Die Arbeit Dutch St. Vincent De Paul von Jan Wiegers wurde im Juni 2008 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 22.350,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Wiegers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dutch Music Hall im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 216.750,00.
