Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Paysage aux alentours de Beuron by Jan Verkade was auctioned at Christies in Paris in March 2018. The auction ended at the price of EUR 20,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Verkade achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Herinnering, Fiesole - Reminiscence, Fiesole in December 2001 with an auction result of EUR 248,750.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Paysage aux alentours de Beuron von Jan Verkade kam im März 2018 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 20.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Verkade erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Herinnering, Fiesole - Reminiscence, Fiesole im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 248.750,00.
