Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2010 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art, which included the work A hunting party at rest beside classical ruins by Jan van Huchtenburg. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,206.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan van Huchtenburg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work John Churchill, 1St Duke Of Marlborough (1650–1722) And Prince Eugene Of Savoy (1663–1736), On Horseback At The Battle Of Blenheim (Hochstedt) in April 2021 with an auction result of GBP 35,280.00 (€ 40,582.26).
