Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Battle Scene by Jan van Huchtenburg was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,128.38). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van Huchtenburg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work John Churchill, 1St Duke Of Marlborough (1650–1722) And Prince Eugene Of Savoy (1663–1736), On Horseback At The Battle Of Blenheim (Hochstedt) in April 2021 with an auction result of GBP 35,280.00 (€ 40,582.26).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit John Churchill, 1St Duke Of Marlborough (1650–1722) And Prince Eugene Of Savoy (1663–1736), On Horseback At The Battle Of Blenheim (Hochstedt) im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.280,00 (€ 40.582,26).
