This artwork by Jan van Huchtenburg achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2008. In the Old Master Paintings Sale auction, the work A Landscape With A Hunting Party In The Foreground sold for GBP 23,300.00 (€ 29,704.21) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jan van Huchtenburg; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot John Churchill, 1St Duke Of Marlborough (1650–1722) And Prince Eugene Of Savoy (1663–1736), On Horseback At The Battle Of Blenheim (Hochstedt) sold at auction in April 2021 with the realized price of GBP 35,280.00 (€ 40,582.26).
