In January 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art, which included the work The Inn Of The Zwarte Varcken ('Black Pig'), Maarsseveen by Jan van der Heyden. The »bidding war« ended at USD 192,000.00 (€ 147,715.03), 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jan van der Heyden have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Dom and Domhof, Cologne in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 551,250.00 (€ 605,235.85).

Im Januar 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Inn Of The Zwarte Varcken ('Black Pig'), Maarsseveen von Jan van der Heyden zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 192.000,00 (€ 147.715,03) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan van der Heyden auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Dom and Domhof, Cologne im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 551.250,00 (€ 605.235,85).
