A top price for Jan Stolker - as previously expected
In June 2002 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Eight portraits, all small bust-length, of Hendrick Dubbels (1620-1676) after Ludolf Bakhuyzen, Mattheus G*** (active c.1500), Desiderius Erasmus of Rotterdam (c. 1466-1536), Joachim Beuckelaer (c.1530-1573), Wendel Dieterlyn (?), Gillis Mostert (c.1 by Jan Stolker. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,352.50 (€ 11,518.36) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Eight portraits, all small bust-length, of Hendrick Dubbels (1620-1676) after Ludolf Bakhuyzen, Mattheus G*** (active c.1500), Desiderius Erasmus of Rotterdam (c. 1466-1536), Joachim Beuckelaer (c.1530-1573), Wendel Dieterlyn (?), Gillis Mostert (c.1 is the most expensive artwork by Jan Stolker that we have observed at auctions so far.

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.352,50 (€ 11.518,36) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00.
