Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seated woman with white tulips by Jan Sluijters was sold in the 19th Century & Modern Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2017. The price achieved of EUR 20,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 18,000.00 – 22,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Sluijters achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maannacht III in November 2010 with an auction result of EUR 421,000.00.
