Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work A Landscape With A Haycart Crossing A Stream, Two Figures On The Banks To The Right by Jan Siberechts for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 20,040.76). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Siberechts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pastoral Landscape With A Shepherdess On A Donkey Carrying A Basket Of Flowers, And Fording A Stream With A Village In The Distance And With A Church, Almost Certainly Edensor, Near Chatsworth, Derbyshire in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 204,733.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
