Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Dealer's Eye | New York, which included the work A Milkmaid And Children In A Field, Cattle Grazing Beyond by Jan Siberechts. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,954.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jan Siberechts have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pastoral Landscape With A Shepherdess On A Donkey Carrying A Basket Of Flowers, And Fording A Stream With A Village In The Distance And With A Church, Almost Certainly Edensor, Near Chatsworth, Derbyshire in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 204,733.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Dealer's Eye | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Milkmaid And Children In A Field, Cattle Grazing Beyond von Jan Siberechts zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 38.954,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Siberechts auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pastoral Landscape With A Shepherdess On A Donkey Carrying A Basket Of Flowers, And Fording A Stream With A Village In The Distance And With A Church, Almost Certainly Edensor, Near Chatsworth, Derbyshire im Februar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 204.733,44).
