Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jan Schoonhoven achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2020. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam auction, the work Ster 2 sold for EUR 137,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Schoonhoven have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Weisses Strukturrelief R 62-1 in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 780,450.00 (€ 870,664.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Schoonhoven erzielte im November 2020 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam wurde die Arbeit Ster 2 für EUR 137.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Schoonhoven auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Weisses Strukturrelief R 62-1 im Februar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 780.450,00 (€ 870.664,54).
