Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work R70-42 by Jan Schoonhoven was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2020. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 180,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 187,500.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Schoonhoven have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Weisses Strukturrelief R 62-1 in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 780,450.00 (€ 870,664.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit R70-42 von Jan Schoonhoven wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 180.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 187.500,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Schoonhoven auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Weisses Strukturrelief R 62-1 im Februar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 780.450,00 (€ 870.664,54).
