Auction result misses estimated price range
In July this year a collector was able to acquire the work Selected Images (Ollök Railway Station) 2 by Jan Saudek for USD 832.00 (€ 754.99). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs Now The Collector's Edition at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jan Saudek have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected images, 1980s in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,349.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Selected Images (Ollök Railway Station) 2 von Jan Saudek für USD 832,00 (€ 754,99) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs Now The Collector's Edition bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Saudek auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selected images, 1980s im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.349,97).
