In the OLD MASTER PICTURES auction, the work The Virgin And Child In A Carved Stone Cartouche Surrounded By Flowers sold for EUR 13,200.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Pieter Brueghel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Roses, Tulips, Violets And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase On A Wooden Ledge in April 2008 with an auction result of EUR 60,250.00.

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Pieter Brueghel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Roses, Tulips, Violets And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase On A Wooden Ledge im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.250,00.
