Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2006 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work A Personification of America In A Cartouche, Surrounded By A Garland of Flowers by Jan Pieter Brueghel. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,581.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Pieter Brueghel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Roses, Tulips, Violets And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase On A Wooden Ledge in April 2008 with an auction result of EUR 60,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Personification of America In A Cartouche, Surrounded By A Garland of Flowers von Jan Pieter Brueghel zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.581,37) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Pieter Brueghel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Roses, Tulips, Violets And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase On A Wooden Ledge im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.250,00.
