Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jan Philips van Thielen; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Tulips, yellow roses and dog roses in a glass vase on a stone ledge, with a leather pen case and a paper identifying the tulips sold at auction in May 2003 with the realized price of EUR 296,450.00.
