Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2003 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART, which included the work Landschap in geel - Landscape in yellow by Jan Meijer. The price achieved of EUR 1,195.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Meijer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Alaska, 1981-1983 in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 8,288.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2003 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landschap in geel - Landscape in yellow von Jan Meijer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.195,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Meijer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Alaska, 1981-1983 im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.288,00.
