Gutfreund 834 Fifth Avenue auction, the work Mary Magdalene sold for USD 537,500.00 (€ 442,933.66) - well above the upper estimate of USD 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Massys - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Susanna And The Elders, which sold at auction in April 2016 for USD 1,205,000.00 (€ 1,053,229.61).
