Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Cavalry Battle by Jan Martszen the Younger was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2012. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,415.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Martszen the Younger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Wooded Dune Landscape With Bandits Holding Up A Covered Wagon, which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 23,300.00 (€ 31,660.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Cavalry Battle von Jan Martszen the Younger kam im Dezember 2012 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.415,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Martszen the Younger mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Wooded Dune Landscape With Bandits Holding Up A Covered Wagon beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für GBP 23.300,00 (€ 31.660,75) versteigert wurde.
