Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Portrait of a young Man in Profile to the left by Jan Lievens was sold in the Old Master Prints auction at Christies in London in December 2019. The result of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,772.82) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Lievens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Tronie: Study Of The Head And Shoulders Of An Old Bearded Man, Wearing A Cap in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 2,505,250.00 (€ 3,012,280.86).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Portrait of a young Man in Profile to the left von Jan Lievens wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion Old Master Prints bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.772,82) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Lievens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Tronie: Study Of The Head And Shoulders Of An Old Bearded Man, Wearing A Cap im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.505.250,00 (€ 3.012.280,86).
