Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jan Lievens could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Masters: Property from a Private Collection auction, the work The Penitent Saint Peter changed hands for USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,652.62) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Lievens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Tronie: Study Of The Head And Shoulders Of An Old Bearded Man, Wearing A Cap in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 2,505,250.00 (€ 3,012,280.86).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Tronie: Study Of The Head And Shoulders Of An Old Bearded Man, Wearing A Cap im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.505.250,00 (€ 3.012.280,86).
