The price achieved of USD 394,000.00 (€ 363,737.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Lievens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Tronie: Study Of The Head And Shoulders Of An Old Bearded Man, Wearing A Cap in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 2,505,250.00 (€ 3,012,280.86).
